Clean accommodation, exceptional staff in all areas. Very impressed with twin room. Breakfast with toast. Amazing building, brilliant location very close to Truro, lovely gardens and very clean and comfortable rooms, and the beautiful cathedral. Also, in the garden below the terrace.

the bed was comfy but the pillows was not to thin and puffy. not a big enough mirror in our room to see to use my hair straightners or the light was not very good to get ready to glam up for going out.the staff were brillant nothing to much trouble. a bit of walk into town but mostly flat road.
they just need to put abit more attention to details to the things in the rooms

Everything! The building is beautiful, old and elegant in appearance, with modern, very comfortable facilities. Our room was described as a 'standard double' but was about twice the size of double rooms in the many other hotels in which we have stayed. The towels, toiletries and refreshments were replenished daily. The gardens (grounds, really) are extensive, well-kept and lovely to walk around. The breakfasts were amazing, with a wide range of buffet style cold foods and hot meals freshly cooked to order. (Do try the smoked salmon and scrambled egg. It's fabulous!) All the staff, young and old were friendly, very helpful and welcoming, whether it was early morning or late evening. I have already recommended Alverton Manor to all our relatives, who are all determined to stay there sometime too.

The atmosphere created by the building itself enhanced by the period furnishings. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who also appeared to be enthusiastic about the building.

We had a great night's sleep at this place with its clean and pleasant atmosphere and the exceptionally friendly staff, although the receptionists seemed impolite and disinterested.
